Welcome, Ishvara Dhrishti the Sanskrit word means "Seeing everything as God”.

Rehana Edison, face and founder of Ishvara Dhrishti, is an internationally celebrated yoga teacher brings more than 15 + years of personal yoga and meditation practice, therapy training and study of yoga philosophy into her teaching.

Also known for her accessibility, humour, and ability to empower her students through her message, how we can take the practice “off the mat”.

I have worked for some years as a therapist and has a huge fascination with the human psyche. Through my spiritual studies (including the Clarity Process) and application of this knowledge in my daily life, I found that old conditionings are what hold us back from experiencing the reality of the present moment as it really is. It is this learning that I have brought into all my teachings.

My aim is to enable students to see past their old stories, freeing them up to experience the truth - the moment as it is now.

I love teaching more dynamic styles like Ashtanga Mysore style, Hatha or Vinyasa Flow, focusing on strength, stability and fitness. Fuses breath-coordinated movement along with slower practices such as Yin yoga. I also specialise in Meditation, pranayama & chanting that allow you to drop in and get to know yourself better. Recently, I have started specialising in yoga retreats also. To upgrade my learning path am now specializing on Shamanic & Alchemical Medicine (course USA).

Building blocks

Am really grateful to my early teachers:

  • Sir. Vijay Amar (ashtanga and hatha yoga, Founder of Universal Studio)

  • Sri. K Pattabhi Jois daughter Sawarsathi Jois (K. PATTABHI JOIS ASHTANGA YOGA SHALA)

  • Master Acharya Venkatesha and Acharye Hema (Founders of Atmavikasa Centre of Yogic Sciences, Mysore)

  • I also hold with a degree in BSc Yoga, SVYSA. Bangalore.

My fortunate to connect with the Vipassana style of meditation, as taught by Sir. S. N. Goenka, and have taken the opportunity to delve deeper into this discipline through sitting multiple silent retreats.

I have also trained in Kalaripayattu - The Orient's treasure trove, a gift to the modern world and the mother of all martial arts. Legend traces the 3000-year-old art form to Sage Parasuraman.

Kalari is the special training in 'Marma', the art of knowing and activating all the 107 energy points in the human body. These vital points (called marmas) are used for correcting the body's energy flows and replenishing its resources. it also makes the practitioner not just a warrior but a self-healer, who can also help others with his healing powers.

I have also learned and experienced wisdom from yogis’ sages who are not in internet world. Who can be called as the real gems of teachers.

According to me

“Throughout my life, practising yoga taught me to relax, also how to find a way out of worries and stress. Yoga showed me the joys of being fit and strong.

Yoga taught me to self-reflect and to accept life as it comes...finally, yoga and my clarity work showed me that there was nothing to ‘find’ and that everything.

I was looking for is ‘right here, right now’ And all I could ever do was to let go of the bondage that stopped me from experiencing the truth. I will always be very grateful to the path of yoga, the Clarity process and the miracle that life is.”
